Privacy Policy
Version 1.0 · effective 27 August 2026
The short version. There are no accounts and no forms on this site, and we set no cookies of our own. If you email us, we have your email. If you send us materials for a scan, we hold them for 90 days after we deliver your report and we delete them sooner if you ask. We do not sell anything about you, and we do not train models on what you send us.
01What this policy covers
This policy explains what happens to information when you visit screenthedeal.com and when you send us materials for a $99 Red-Flag Scan. ScreenTheDeal is a service of eigen4d.
It is part of our Terms of Service and it is written to say the same thing as section 10 of those Terms, in more detail. If the two ever drift apart, tell us and we will fix it.
02There is nothing to sign up for
This site has no accounts, no login, no sign-up, no newsletter, no contact form, and no comment box. Every button on the site opens a message in your own email program, addressed to us. Nothing you type into that message reaches us until you press send, from your own mail account.
We set no cookies. We run no advertising pixels, no retargeting tags, no session recording, and no heat mapping. There is no consent banner on this site because there is nothing for you to consent to.
03Cloudflare, and the analytics beacon
The site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages and served through Cloudflare's network. Cloudflare sits between your browser and our files, so it handles the technical details of every request: your IP address, the page you asked for, your browser's user agent string, and similar request metadata. Cloudflare needs those to route the request, serve the page, and keep the site up under attack. It acts as our service provider for that and handles the data under its own privacy terms.
Cloudflare adds an analytics beacon to every page at the edge. It is not
in the files we wrote. Cloudflare injects a small script from
static.cloudflareinsights.com as the page leaves its network, which is why you
will find it if you view the page source. We turned this on deliberately and we are telling
you about it here.
Cloudflare Web Analytics gives us plain page measurements: how many times a page was opened, which page it was, what site referred the visit, a rough country, the browser and operating system family, and how quickly the page loaded.
Cloudflare's own documentation describes the product as privacy-preserving: it does not set cookies or use client-side storage to identify visitors, it does not build a fingerprint of you from your IP address or user agent, and it does not follow you across other websites. We see counts, not people. We cannot pick you out of it, and we use it for exactly one purpose, which is to know whether anyone is reading the site. You can read Cloudflare's description at cloudflare.com/web-analytics.
If you block scripts, the beacon does not run and the site works the same.
04If you email us
Our mail runs on Google Workspace. When you write to hello@screenthedeal.com, Google holds that message for us, and we can see your address, the name your mail program sends, your message, and anything you attached.
We use it to answer you and to do the work you asked for. That is all. We will not add you to a mailing list, because we do not have one.
05Materials you send us for a scan
Most scans start with nothing but a listing URL. Sometimes you send more: exports, screenshots, statements, a contract, a data room file. We use those to produce your report and to answer your questions about it afterward. That is the only reason we hold them.
Before you send anything, check your non-disclosure agreement with the seller. Most of them limit who you may share with, and that is your obligation, not ours. See section 7 of the Terms.
06How your materials are processed
Our analysis is produced with AI systems, and a named human reads and signs off on every report before it reaches you.
Your materials are processed by two third-party AI infrastructure providers: Anthropic and Google Cloud. We use their commercial services, whose terms state that customer content submitted through them is not used to train their models.
We do not train any model of our own on your materials or on the seller's materials. If we ever add another provider to this pipeline, we will update this section and section 10 of the Terms before we send anything to it.
07Where your materials are stored
Client materials, reports, and our working notes are stored on Google Cloud, in the United States. If you are outside the United States and send us materials, you are sending them to the United States and you are agreeing to that.
08How long we keep things
- Materials you sent us: 90 days. We delete them 90 days after we deliver your report.
- Sooner, if you ask: within 30 days. Email us and say you want your materials deleted, and we will delete them within 30 days of your request.
- The report and our working notes: six years. We keep these for insurance and legal reasons. If anyone ever raises a question about work we did, we need to be able to show what we looked at and what we actually said.
- Email correspondence: it stays in our mailbox unless you ask us to remove it.
To ask for deletion, email hello@screenthedeal.com with "Delete my materials" in the subject line. You do not have to explain why.
09Who else sees it
Nobody who does not need to.
- Not the seller. Not the business you are looking at, not another buyer circling the same listing, not the marketplace. We do not tell anyone that you are looking at a deal.
- Our service providers, only as far as they must. Cloudflare serves the site. Google Workspace carries our mail. Google Cloud stores materials and, with Anthropic, performs the AI processing. They are bound by confidentiality obligations in their terms with us.
- A payment processor handles your $99 when we send you payment details. Your card details go to them, not to us. We never see or store a card number.
- The law, if it genuinely requires it. If we are ever compelled to hand something over and we are permitted to tell you, we will tell you.
10What we never do
- We never sell information about you. There is no version of this business where we do.
- We never show what you sent us to the seller, or to another buyer.
- We never name a client, a listing, or a seller in public material. The patterns described on this site are anonymized and are not traceable to any identifiable listing or person.
- We never use your materials, or the seller's, to train a model.
11Your choices, and how to use them
Some privacy laws give people the right to see, correct, export, or delete the information a business holds about them. Whether one of those laws covers you depends on where you live and on how you used the service. We would rather not argue about which one applies.
So: if you ask us what we hold about you, we will tell you. If you ask us to delete it, we will delete it, subject only to the six-year record of the report itself described in section 8, which we keep for legal reasons and which we will explain to you if you ask. If you want the analytics beacon not to run, block scripts in your browser and the site will work exactly as it does now.
One request, by email, is all it takes. We will not make you fill anything in.
12Changes, and how to reach us
If we change this policy, we will post the new version here with a new version number and date. If the change is material and you bought a scan from us in the previous 12 months, we will email you about it.
Questions about anything on this page, or about anything we hold, go to hello@screenthedeal.com and a person will answer them.
